Invisalign Open Evening with an Unbeatable offer

November 30th, 2011

When you logged on to our website just now, you could hardly have missed
our promo about an Invisalign open evening. If you did not see it, well take
another look, because this is an offer that you do not want to miss out on.

An amazing offer of £500 off the Invisalign treatment and a complimentary whitening at the end of the treatment!

We had an open evening event here at the practice a few weeks ago, and the atmosphere
in the practice was full of excitement, smiles and, of course, invisible braces! Here at Dentastique, we strive to change peoples lives to the better, so after such a successful night, we feel as excited as our new Invisalign patients do.

It sounds quite good doesn’t it? Do not wory, you still have time to be a part of this atmosphere that I just described to you, since we are having another Invisalign open evening event tomorrow night (Wednesday the 1st of December). But be sure to book your place, since the places are limited and we do not want you to miss out on an offer like this!

Hope to see you there!

A Cambridge University student gets her Invisalign fitted

July 26th, 2011

After a lot of hard work from Dr. Abdah’s team and also from Invisalign’s technicians, who does the treatment simulations in USA, and the courier who carefully and effectively transfer the Invisalign boxes to our practice,  it is finally time for one of our excited patients fittings.

Is it a day that she has been looking forward to, and she can not wait to try her new aligners on and start her journey towards the smile of her dreams!

After our patient has her aligners in place, Emma is there to answer any questions she might have. The most common questions regarding Invisalign that we get here at Dentastique are questions like; Is the treatment going to be sensitive? The answer to that is that most people experiences tooth soreness for a few days, or sometimes just even an hour or so. But this is normal – and it means that the aligners are doing their job!

Another common question that Emma gets is about what you should and should not eat and drink during your Invisalign treatment. And here is another advantage with choosing Invisalign over traditional orthodontics; You can eat and drink whatever you want, because you easily remove your aligners when you are about to eat or drink something other than water.

To make things even clearer and easier, Emma gives the patient an Invisalign presentation box, which contains everything you need to know about Invisalign. In the box you can find a leaflet with do’s and dont’s, aligners for your treatment and also retainers to wear after the treatment is finished. And there is more to it!

A man from Sawston finally finds the Confidence to Smile again with Veneers

July 19th, 2011

The first stage of the treatment was when our patient arrived to prepare for 4 veneers on his upper front teeth. When he is getting married in a few months, he wants to have the confidence to smile and show how happy he is on that big special day.

During the second stage Dr. Abdah starts the procedure by preparing the teeth very gently for the veneers. This means that he prepares only around one millimeter of the surface of the teeth for the veneers and then takes an impression. The job is later sent to one of the top dental labs in the UK.

Since it takes some time to fit the veneers due to the delicate nature of these beautiful restorations, Dr. Abdah booked 2 hours to fit them. He uses a special cement, that is light cured, on the tooth and the veneer. Dr. Abdah completes one tooth at a time, for that very precise fit and to get the maximum result out of it.

During the treatment, some enjoyable music if playing on the stereo in the background, which makes the room a calm and relaxed envrionment to be in.

When the last veneer is on its right place, it is time to clean the new veneers up and remove any small pieces of cement that still might be there. Then it is finally time for our patient to get the mirror in his hands and see the result! “WOW…” was his reaction. Our patient was very pleased with what he saw and said that he now felt that it was about time to start smiling again.

And as for me, the rookie here at Dentastique, I found it truly amazing what you actually are able to do and how can make such a difference in people’s lives. It really is an art!

A lady who works in Trumpington comes in to get her Invisalign fitted

November 24th, 2010

The wait is over, the time has arrived for our patient to start her dream smile by using Invisalign as a clear, fresh and hygienic way to straighten the teeth.  Invisalign is a series of clear removable braces that straighten teeth over a course of several months (usually not years!).  A set of aligners (clear braces) are worn for two weeks, twenty hours a day.  After two weeks a patient moves to the next aligners in the set, during the treatment plan there may be occasions when the patient needs an appointment with Dr. Abdah, in order for him to make spaces in between the teeth (to allow the teeth to move), and also in the early stages of the Invisalign treatment Dr. Abdah places tooth coloured attachments to the teeth in order to give the aligners retention. Sometimes the patient get many aligners together, thus minimising the visits to the practice. the patient was very pleased with the first aligners and felt very little pressure on the teeth but wasn’t uncomfortable. She look forward to her future aligners, as every aligner means a step closer to her dream smile that she rightly deserve, especially as she will get a FREE whitening in the end to enhance the overall look. We want everybody to feel great about themselves at the end.

A patient from Stevenage gets his dream smile!!

November 24th, 2010

It was a very special day for our last patient. For many years he had been wanting to change the appearance of his smile, due to cosmetic and clinical reasons.  It was time for Dr. Abdah to fit the patients upper bridge.  Dr. Abdah placed the bridge in the mouth and I was amazed to see how nice the bridge fitted and it also looked really fresh as well.  We then asked the patient to have a look in the mirror, he was pleasantly surprised, he said that he was extremely happy with the look of the bridge and instantly he felt as though the bridge had been there for a while as it was so comfortable.  He said to Dr. Abdah that it was the best day of his life, as his son had announced hours before that he had been given a place at university.  The patient was admiring his teeth for ten to fifteen minutes, I genuinely believe that he was esentric about his new smile. He also gave Dr Abdah permission to shre his new smile with the world, so we will be posting his before and after pics soon.Watch the space. He then said that he would like Dr. Abdah to plan his treatment for his lower teeth to be revamped!  We always look forward to seeing the outcome of cosmetic work especially when we spend hours on the planning stages and also with the patient in the chair,  for us we also have a sence of achievement!  The patient will return to our practice next week for the planning stages of his lower teeth!

The results of Invisalign treatment for a lady who works in Soham

October 22nd, 2009

The patient had been wearing her invisalign for a total of 9 months now, and after only a few visits to our practice to change over the retainers , add atttachments and also Dr. Abdah would do some inter proximal reduction to make very small spaces between the teeth, this is to allow space for the teeth to move.  Today it was time to have the attachments removed and her teeth polished.  Dr. Abdah was definately very happy with the outcome.  The patients teeth were looking very nice and straight, she was exceedingly happy with her new smile.  After Dr. Abdah polishes the teeth, he then took impressions, that would be sent to a special lab who would make retainers, which are plastic templates that keep teeth in place.   Dentastique offers patients a Free consultation if they are interested in finding out more about the Invisalign treatment.  Dr. Abdah asked the patient to book a follow up appointment in two weeks, to get her new retainers fitted, and of course at that moment she will be entitled to FREE Whitening!! As most patients(depending on their needs) will get a free whiteninig (worth over 450 pounds) with the Invisalign treatment. The patient was thrilled.

A patient living in cambridge city would like to improve her smile with an implant

October 20th, 2009

A lady who had been a patient at the surgery for many years has decided that she would like an implant in the front of her mouth, in the gap where a tooth had been extracted by a previous dentist years before.  She has been wearing a denture, but now has decided that she would like a permanent solution.  Dentures can be very difficult to use, and they never will replace a missing tooth, unlike implants which are strong and are aesthetically pleasing.  Dr. Abdah had designated a very long appointment for this particular case as the results of her Digital OPG Xray showed that there was traces of Amalgam inside the gum which needed to be carefully removed.  Before the procedure Dr. Abdah explained that until he opens the area and cleans out all of the amalgam and measures the density of the bone he will not know if it is possible to place and implant instantly.  Dr. Abdah explained that if the implant is not possible today he would clean out the amalgam and graft the area with substitute bone and then cover this with a membrane.  After six months the bone would be more dense and the mouth would then be ready for an implant.  Dr. Abdah was definitely surprised to see so much amalgam inside the gum, The amalgam was everywhere, he explained to the patient that due to that his main concern today would definitely be to clean the area and make it ready for an implant in six months time.  He explained the potential risks of having amalgam embedded in the bone. The other major reason to remove this amalgam is that it can potentially cause precancerous areas in the mouth.  Dr. Abdah has a Velscope machine that checks areas under the cheeks, tongue gums and all around the mouth for any changes in the tissue.  He uses this device on every patient who has a routine check up.  After two and a half hours of intense work, and a lot of cleaning Dr. Abdah had finished the procedure.  As he had previously explained the area should be ready in approximately six months.  Dr. Abdah will see the patient for the removal of stitches in ten days.  Dr. Abdah also asked Wendy to book another long appointment in six months time, to place the implants.  The story will continue……
