We are proud to say that we, since four years, have a CEREC (Cad Cam) unit
here at the practice. This is something that will make your teeth while you wait.
We are actually one of the lucky few in the entire UK to have one!

Remember the days when you had to have several appointments to prepare your
crowns, taking impressions and so on? Then you had to wait until the work came
back from a technician and this was something you sometimes had to wait weeks for.
Well, those days are finally over and with the help from our CEREC, you can now
show off your dazzling new smile after just one single visit!
And to top that up – impressions are a thing of the past!

So what is this amazing thing that makes us stand out from the crowd?

There are five simple steps to the CEREC procedure, as followed:
1 | Before You start the treatment Dr. Abdah will inform You about the benefits
of CEREC and also go through the procedure in detail.

2| After preparing the tooth, by removing the decayed tissue or the broken area of
the tooth, Dr. Abdah will create a 3D image of Your tooth with a special sort of camera,
the CEREC camera.

3| He then designs the restoration on one of the CEREC units with a range of crown selections,
and chooses the one that will go best with the rest of Your teeth.

4| The CEREC milling machine creates the restoration out of a ceramic block.

5| The restoration is bonded directly to Your tooth. This way the tooth will be restored to its
natural beauty and strength, for You to benefit from for years to come.

Simple as that! Amazing, isn’t it?

Here at Dentastique we are happy to answer the enquiries You might have.
But if You ever wondered what happens after Your call or Your email to us,
I am going to explain how a new patient and Free consultation visit
works here at Dentastique.

When You contact us regarding an enquiry for a treatment, we make our very
best to find a suitable time for Your Free consultation. It is very important for
us that You have enough time for this, so Dr. Abdah can give You his full attention.

On the day of the appointment, Dr. Abdah and his assistant nurse, Emma, prepares
the surgery for the coming consultation depending on what kind of consultation it is.
When You arrive we will kindly ask You to fill in a quick form. When that is done, Dr. Abdah
will greet You with a huge smile, and I can personally assure You that if You felt a bit nervous
about Your visit, it will be as vanished by now.

After the consultation we would be more than happy to welcome You to the Dentastique Family,

A couple of weeks ago we had a patient come in for a FREE consultation. The patient decided that he would like to have his very old front crowns replaced to new porcelain crowns. It was now time for Dr. Abdah to take off the old crowns and shape the existing teeth ready for new ones. Dr. Abdah took impressions and used the true shade device to decide which colour would match the rest of the teeth. The crowns will be sent to a Lab, to be made and they will be sent back after two weeks. The patient also plays sport, and has requested that Dr. Abdah makes him a sports guard to protect his new crowns. Dr. Abdah will first fit the new crowns and then he will take the impressions for the sports guard. The new crowns will take approximately two weeks to be made and sent back to the surgery.

A few months ago, a patient attended Dr. Abdah’s clinic for an extraction of an un-savable tooth. Last week the same patient came in to have an implant placed in the lower right area of her mouth. It is usual that before the procedure begins the patient will always have some last minute thoughts and questions. The patient had remarked that this was the only space in her mouth and why was it so important for an implant to be placed? Dr. Abdah showed the patient an X Ray of her mouth showing that an opposing tooth will potentially grow until it bites against another. He then showed the patient some models of a mouth that had had various extractions in the past and once placed together, they clearly showed that there was no space for any Bridge works or Implants. For future reasons to place an implant in any space is crusial to maintain the biting space in the mouth. It is a usual occurrence for a patient to get last minute nerves as they have always had a consultation and all the information, so the decision is already made. The patient was happy with the advice and continued to have the Implant done, after the procedure the patient said to Dr. Abdah that she has last minute nerves but is relieved that she had the treatment. The next visit will be in six months time.
