A first Patient visit
Thursday, September 8th, 2011Here at Dentastique we are happy to answer the enquiries You might have.
But if You ever wondered what happens after Your call or Your email to us,
I am going to explain how a new patient and Free consultation visit
works here at Dentastique.
When You contact us regarding an enquiry for a treatment, we make our very
best to find a suitable time for Your Free consultation. It is very important for
us that You have enough time for this, so Dr. Abdah can give You his full attention.
On the day of the appointment, Dr. Abdah and his assistant nurse, Emma, prepares
the surgery for the coming consultation depending on what kind of consultation it is.
When You arrive we will kindly ask You to fill in a quick form. When that is done, Dr. Abdah
will greet You with a huge smile, and I can personally assure You that if You felt a bit nervous
about Your visit, it will be as vanished by now.

A Cambridge University student gets her Invisalign fitted
Tuesday, July 26th, 2011After a lot of hard work from Dr. Abdah’s team and also from Invisalign’s technicians, who does the treatment simulations in USA, and the courier who carefully and effectively transfer the Invisalign boxes to our practice, it is finally time for one of our excited patients fittings.
Is it a day that she has been looking forward to, and she can not wait to try her new aligners on and start her journey towards the smile of her dreams!
After our patient has her aligners in place, Emma is there to answer any questions she might have. The most common questions regarding Invisalign that we get here at Dentastique are questions like; Is the treatment going to be sensitive? The answer to that is that most people experiences tooth soreness for a few days, or sometimes just even an hour or so. But this is normal – and it means that the aligners are doing their job!
Another common question that Emma gets is about what you should and should not eat and drink during your Invisalign treatment. And here is another advantage with choosing Invisalign over traditional orthodontics; You can eat and drink whatever you want, because you easily remove your aligners when you are about to eat or drink something other than water.
To make things even clearer and easier, Emma gives the patient an Invisalign presentation box, which contains everything you need to know about Invisalign. In the box you can find a leaflet with do’s and dont’s, aligners for your treatment and also retainers to wear after the treatment is finished. And there is more to it!
A Perfect Smile for a patient attending a dental surgery in Trumpington
Thursday, September 17th, 2009After weeks of planning and Dr. Abdah making a wax model of this gentleman’s teeth, as a simulation for the treatment, it was time to start the cosmetic makeover. On this gentleman’s first appointment his wife came along to Dentastique with him to help with the decision making. Dr. Abdah had taken some alginate impressions of his mouth in order for the technician to make some study models. As you can see Dr. Abdah explained, I have shaped your teeth, and worked extensively on this model and towards the back of your mouth there is absolutely no space to place any implants. I think that the first thing to do would be to work on your smile zone. It would mean a selection of crowns, bridges and two new veneers, to give you a perfect smile. Unfortunately the upper right Lateral Incisor is sitting in such a way that it actually needs extracting. Dr. Abdah firstly took time to make the teeth in wax on the study model in order to achieve the best results today. During today’s appointment Dr. Abdah shaped the five front teeth and then extracted the out of place tooth. He then made really nice temporary teeth, using a rubber mould that he made from the wax teeth. At the end of the treatment today, the patients wife was happily surprised to see her husbands makeover. Dr. Abdah will see the patient in three months to carry on with the treatment plan.
