A Cambridge University student gets her Invisalign fitted

After a lot of hard work from Dr. Abdah’s team and also from Invisalign’s technicians, who does the treatment simulations in USA, and the courier who carefully and effectively transfer the Invisalign boxes to our practice, it is finally time for one of our excited patients fittings.

After our patient has her aligners in place, Emma is there to answer any questions she might have. The patient had been wearing her invisalign for a total of 9 months now, and after only a few visits to our practice to change over the retainers , add atttachments and also Dr. Abdah would do some inter proximal reduction to make very small spaces between the teeth, this is to allow space for the teeth to move. Today it was time to have the attachments removed and her teeth polished. Dr. Abdah was definately very happy with the outcome. The patients teeth were looking very nice and straight, she was exceedingly happy with her new smile. After Dr. Abdah polishes the teeth, he then took impressions, that would be sent to a special lab who would make retainers, which are plastic templates that keep teeth in place. Dentastique offers patients a Free consultation if they are interested in finding out more about the Invisalign treatment. Dr. Abdah asked the patient to book a follow up appointment in two weeks, to get her new retainers fitted, and of course at that moment she will be entitled to FREE Whitening!! Enlighten whitening for a patient who lives in Cambridge and works in Stevenage

This afternoon a patient attended our practice for a Free consultation, he was wanting a whiter smile. He wanted a whiter smile as in was in the process of looking for a new job and thought that this would give him a confidence boost. Dr. Abdah checked his teeth and advised him that he had a heavy bite and therefor needed to get a night guard as well as he had chipped the edge of his teeth. There was two options that could potentially give this man a whiter smile. The first option would be a treatment called Zoom Advanced Whitening, this entails a two hour appointment using a Laser lamp to enhance the colour. The second option would be to get a dedicated Lab to make trays that fit the patients mouth, and hold the specially formulated Enlighten gel in place. These trays would need to be worn whilst sleeping, Dr. Abdah advised the patient that in order to reach the maximum effect he recommended that the man wears them for at least two weeks. The patient was very happy with Dr. Adah’s advice and decided to have the treatment. Dr Abdah and myself then quickly prepared the patient and the surgery, and took the impressions immediately. The impressions will return from the Lab in approximately ten days and we will then contact the patient.

Wedding smile makeover for a patient getting married in Haverhill

During a FREE consultation last week, a bride to be wanted a smile makeover. This is great but there was only six weeks till the wedding! Dr. Abdah examined her and took some photos of her mouth, he then displayed the photos on the screen and explained that she would need the four teeth at the front upgraded to two new crowns and two new veneers. The first part of the course would be to whiten the teeth using the Advanced Zoom laser whitening treatment. Dr. Abdah checked his book and decided that in order for her treatment plan to be finished in time for the big day he would stay late and accomodate her to whiten her teeth. Yesterday was the appointment for the teeth whitening. This procedure consists of the patient being made comfortable (as it takes 2 hours!), the shade of the existing teeth is taken, then the area inside the mouth is protected before the Whitening gel is applied. Advanced Zoom will lighten the teeth by six to eight shades. The Laser Light is then shone on the teeth. At the end of the procedure the Bride to be was really amazed! The next appointment will consist of the preparation for the Veneers and Crowns.

Mother of the Bride Makeover for her daughter’s wedding in Ely

Today was the final visit for a patient who had been having a smile makeover, in preparation for her daughters wedding next week. A FREE consultation had revealed that this lady would firstly need the combined treatment of Enlighten and Advanced Zoom whitening. Then after a week or so Dr. Abdah would change all of the old defective and decayed white fillings in the front of her mouth to new composite ones. The patient explained how happy that she was with the treatment so far and how white and shiny her teeth are! Dr. Abdah then cleaned out all of the old fillings, and prepared the teeth for the brand new ones. During the procedure Dr. Abdah decided that in order to get the utmost best results he would use the new Composite kit that he has, alongside the polish brought from the USA. I could not believe how those fillings had bonded with the existing teeth, I could not even see where the new fillings had been placed. We showed the patient the final result, she was so happy that she kissed Dr. Abdah with Joy. We wished the patient to enjoy her daughters wedding and she happily went on her way. Zoom whitening and enlighten consultation for a patient who lives in Granchester

Yesterday Dr. Abdah gave his advise to a lady who wanted Zoom advanced whitening, her teeth were already looking really white? Dr. Abdah welcomed the patient into the surgery, during the FREE consultation he discovered that she had already had Whitening in Chicago years before. The patients teeth had slowly got slightly stained and very slightly faded over the last eight years. Dr Abdah advised her that Zoom Advance would only improve the shade of her teeth by one or two shades since her teeth were already white, usually the Zoom Advanced whitening improves the patients shade of teeth by up to 6-8 shades. This patient would definitely benefit from Enlighten whitening system or the combination of Enlighten and Zoom. Enlighten is a gel which is placed inside a custom made tray. The Enlighten gel is placed in the tray overnight for a varied amount of time. Otherwise she may prefer just to do a touch up with some special whitening pens that will change the shade so much but it will keep it fresh. The patient was pleased with Dr. Abdah’s honest advice and will revert back to us with the option that she prefers.

Straight teeth in six months

Last week we received a phone call from a lady who wanted to get her teeth whitened and straightened in preparation for her wedding, in 8 months time. I Briefly told her about the six months smile option and booked her in for a free consultaion with Dr. Abdah who is highly qualified in this type of treatment. Dr. Abdah checked the patient and gave advice that according to the patient not having any crowns, veneers or fillings in the smile zone that the six months smile was an option for this lady. ?He told the lady that the six months smile was a thin white wire attached to the teeth with tooth colour attachments, making it invisable to other people. The patient would also benefit from a free whitening kit at the end of the treatment. The patient decided to go ahead with the treatment plan as discussed.
