A patient from Stevenage gets his dream smile!!

It was a very special day for our last patient. For many years he had been wanting to change the appearance of his smile, due to cosmetic and clinical reasons. It was time for Dr. Abdah to fit the patients upper bridge. Dr. Abdah placed the bridge in the mouth and I was amazed to see how nice the bridge fitted and it also looked really fresh as well. We then asked the patient to have a look in the mirror, he was pleasantly surprised, he said that he was extremely happy with the look of the bridge and instantly he felt as though the bridge had been there for a while as it was so comfortable. He said to Dr. Abdah that it was the best day of his life, as his son had announced hours before that he had been given a place at university. The patient was admiring his teeth for ten to fifteen minutes, I genuinely believe that he was esentric about his new smile. He also gave Dr Abdah permission to shre his new smile with the world, so we will be posting his before and after pics soon.Watch the space. He then said that he would like Dr. Abdah to plan his treatment for his lower teeth to be revamped! We always look forward to seeing the outcome of cosmetic work especially when we spend hours on the planning stages and also with the patient in the chair, for us we also have a sence of achievement! The patient will return to our practice next week for the planning stages of his lower teeth!

The results of Invisalign treatment for a lady who works in Soham

The patient had been wearing her invisalign for a total of 9 months now, and after only a few visits to our practice to change over the retainers , add atttachments and also Dr. Abdah would do some inter proximal reduction to make very small spaces between the teeth, this is to allow space for the teeth to move. Today it was time to have the attachments removed and her teeth polished. Dr. Abdah was definately very happy with the outcome. The patients teeth were looking very nice and straight, she was exceedingly happy with her new smile. After Dr. Abdah polishes the teeth, he then took impressions, that would be sent to a special lab who would make retainers, which are plastic templates that keep teeth in place. Dentastique offers patients a Free consultation if they are interested in finding out more about the Invisalign treatment. Dr. Abdah asked the patient to book a follow up appointment in two weeks, to get her new retainers fitted, and of course at that moment she will be entitled to FREE Whitening!! A Gentleman who had been a patient at Dentastique for many years, had an accident a few months ago, smashing his front tooth into many pieces. The patient decided to come along for a FREE consultation to obtain Dr. Abdah’ s professional advice. Dr Abdah examined the patient and discovered that the crown of the tooth had broken off, he then decided to take an Xray to investigate the foundation of the tooth. The results of the Xray showed that the root of the tooth had fractured in many places. Dr. Abdah advised the patient that he should go to Addenbrookes hospital where they could take a scan of the area, as the Xray also showed that there was a cyst under the root of the tooth which would firstly need removing. After going to Addenbrookes hospital the patient returned back to us for a review prior to an implant appointment being made. Another Xray was taken at the review stage showing that the Cyst was gone, and the area is now ready for an implant!

Zoom whitening and enlighten consultation for a patient who lives in Granchester

Yesterday Dr. Abdah gave his advise to a lady who wanted Zoom advanced whitening, her teeth were already looking really white? Dr. Abdah welcomed the patient into the surgery, during the FREE consultation he discovered that she had already had Whitening in Chicago years before. The patients teeth had slowly got slightly stained and very slightly faded over the last eight years. Dr Abdah advised her that Zoom Advance would only improve the shade of her teeth by one or two shades since her teeth were already white, usually the Zoom Advanced whitening improves the patients shade of teeth by up to 6-8 shades. This patient would definitely benefit from Enlighten whitening system or the combination of Enlighten and Zoom. Enlighten is a gel which is placed inside a custom made tray. The Enlighten gel is placed in the tray overnight for a varied amount of time. Otherwise she may prefer just to do a touch up with some special whitening pens that will change the shade so much but it will keep it fresh. The patient was pleased with Dr. Abdah’s honest advice and will revert back to us with the option that she prefers.

Dr. Abdah had a patient booked in this morning for a free consultation, during the free consultation Dr. Abdah listened to the patient’s main dental problem and found that the patient had two very old crowns in the front of the mouth, one of them being chipped. It was clear to Dr. Abdah that there would be two possible solutions for these front teeth. Both the options required Dr. Abdah to use the skills and knowledge that he has obtained on courses around the world.The first option would be for Dr. Abdah to build up the chipped crown using the latest bonding techniques. The second option was to replace the old crowns with two new porcelain crowns. These would be made using the latest technology in crown making and shade matching using the true shade device to match the colour of the new crowns to the existing teeth givinig the ultimate colour and translucency just like the patient’s owen teeth. Dr. Abdah gave these choices to the patient and the patient preferred to have the two crowns replaced since they were very old. An appoointment was made to start the treatment.
